Reinhold Grohmann (1877 - 1915)
Reinhold Grohmann, (12. October 1877 in Berlin - † 27. June 1915 ebenda) was a German painter.
Life and work: Reinhold Grohmann, son of the engraver Wilhelm Grohmann, studied from 1898 to 1905 at the Akademieder Künste in Berlin, then at the Académie Julian in Paris and from 1907 as a pupil of Arthur Kampf and Louis Tuaillon in Berlin.
He made study trips to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and Tunisia. In 1906 and 1907 he stayed at Villa Strohl-Fern in Rome. In the period from 1903 to 1915 he took part in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. He died at the age of 38.
In addition to genre scenes, interiors and urban landscapes, he mainly painted military scenes. Reinhold Grohmann was the uncle of the architect Hans Wolff-Grohmann.
